Eat Healthy Meals: Have iron-rich foods like spinach, red meat, and legumes regularly to maintain healthy hemoglobin levels.
Rest Well: Get adequate sleep (7-8 hours) the night before donation to ensure you're in good health.
Bring Valid ID: Always carry your identification proof and previous donation records when donating blood.
DON'TS - What You Should Avoid
Don't Donate on Empty Stomach: Never donate blood without eating. Have a light meal 2-3 hours before donation.
Avoid Alcohol & Smoking: Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before donation and avoid smoking for at least 2 hours after.
Don't Do Heavy Exercise: Avoid strenuous activities and heavy lifting for at least 24 hours after blood donation.
Don't Donate if Unwell: If you're feeling sick, have fever, cold, or are on medication, postpone your donation.
Note: You can donate blood every 3 months. One donation can save up to 3 lives!
